38209 Automated Build

Automate your Visual FoxPro application builds using extensions to CruiseControl.NET.

Build automation, continuous integration...

This project is mainly an extension for CruiseControl.NET, written in Visual FoxPro. It should also work with Team Foundation Server. The goals of the project include: provide the environment for a build server that can build Visual FoxPro projects without an interactive user sitting in front of it, record build errors, and so on.

Tools work in both Visual FoxPro 9 and 8. It’s already in production at several sites, each building several projects from different developers for many months and works flawlessly.

This project is completely separate and different from the VFPX MSBuild project.

The source code for this project is in the VFPX repository. To get it, click on "Source Code" in the menu bar, then click on "Download" to get all of VFPX source code in one zip. Alternatively you can set up a folder on your hard disk, create a subversion repository there that points to the VFXP server, and pull the parts that you want.

I am in the process of defining the source control and release processes for a large scale, commerical fleet management system written in VFP 9 and I would be very interesting in knowing more about this project. Where would I find the code?

Never mind my previous comment, I found the code under the source code link. My next question is... how do I hook this in to CruiseControl?

How can this be a release candidate when there is no code? I would love to test this out! :-)
