DATE on the chart

Just starting using FoxCharts -- a fine package -- and am looking for a way to place the date on the chart to the left of the Title or SubTitle.  I have not seen any properties nor any mention in the help file.  Is there a way to add the date without modifying the class?

Thanks .

Hi,

Please study the FoxchartsHelp file.

Subject legends in Chapter Advanced Topics explains the Side Legend and the Scale Legend. You may choose, depending on how you present your data, which one is best for you to use to display the date.

Thanks for the replay Koen,  unfortunately I'm already using both the side and scale legends to lend context to the chart .  However, I researching yesterday I came up with the idea of using the DrawString function from GDIPLus in the AfterDraw method of ChartCanvas after seeing the DrawImage in one of the samples.  Looks a little like the following:

LOCAL loGfx as xfcGraphics, loFont as xfcFont, lcString

loGfx = This.oGfx

loFont = _Screen.System.Drawing.Font.New("Arial", 11)

lcString = "Date: " + DTOC(DATE())
loGfx.DrawString(lcString,loFont,_Screen.System.Drawing.Brushes.Black,10,15)
